Government Camp, AKA “Govy,” is a historical resort town at the base of Mt. Hood in Oregon. Government Camp was given its name by settlers in the late 1800’s who discovered several discarded wagons and supplies left by the U.S Cavalry when troops were forced to abandon the area.
